Creating carousels
The carousel creator generates LinkedIn carousel slide decks from a topic or idea. Give it a subject, choose how many slides you want, and it produces a full deck with headlines, body copy, and speaker notes for each slide.
Team plan required
The carousel creator is available on the Team plan only. If you are on a Free, Start, or Grow plan, you will see a prompt to contact your admin or upgrade. Compare plans to see what's included.
Getting there
Navigate to Create in the sidebar and select Carousel, or open the Create hub and click the Carousel card. The carousel creator opens with a two-column layout: controls on the left, your generated slides on the right.
Setting up your carousel
Three steps in the control panel:
Your idea
Paste a topic, article summary, framework, or any text you want to turn into a carousel. The more context you give, the better the slide content.
Style
If your team has carousel styles set up, you can apply one here. Styles are trained on your team's existing carousels so the output matches your brand voice and structure. Toggle off to generate without a style.
Number of slides
Choose between 3 and 15 slides. Shorter decks (5–7) work well for quick frameworks; longer ones (10–15) suit step-by-step breakdowns or comprehensive guides.
Click Generate carousel to start. Generation takes a few seconds — skeleton cards appear as placeholders while the AI is working.
Reading the output
Each slide card shows:
- Slide number — the position in the deck
- Headline — the main text displayed on the slide
- Body copy — supporting detail or elaboration (some slides may be headline-only)
- Speaker notes — optional context for when you present or adapt the slide
Each slide card has its own copy button so you can grab individual slides. Once you have reviewed the deck, use the Copy all button at the top of the results panel to copy every slide at once in a structured format you can paste into Canva, PowerPoint, or any slide tool.
Saving your deck
Click Save in the results panel to save the carousel deck to your library. Saved carousels appear in the Carousels tab of your library, where you can revisit the slides at any time. Saving records the idea text, slide count, and the style used so you can trace what produced a given deck.
Carousel styles
Styles are what make the carousel creator team-aware. A style is built from a set of your existing carousel samples — the AI analyses the structure, tone, and format of those samples and encodes them into rules. When you generate with a style applied, the output follows those rules.
Styles are created and managed by team admins in the Team settings. Each style requires at least three sample carousels uploaded as PDFs. If no styles have been configured yet, step 2 will tell you to ask your admin to set them up.
Tips
- Start with a clear thesis in the idea field — carousels with a single strong argument tend to be more compelling than those that try to cover multiple topics.
- If the output doesn't match your brand voice, check whether your team has carousel styles set up. Generating without a style uses a generic structure that may not fit your format.
- For LinkedIn, 8–10 slides is a reliable length — long enough to develop an idea, short enough to hold attention through the swipe.
- Save decks you like so you can reference them later when planning your content calendar.
