Finding post ideas
Use the AI ideas generator to surface structured post concepts. Each idea comes with an angle, tension, anchor, and stakes — ready to turn into a post.
How it works
Navigate to "Ideas" from the sidebar. The generator has three inputs:
- Topic — select your primary topic or choose from all available topics (SaaS, leadership, AI, marketing, etc.)
- Subtopic — narrow down to a specific area within your topic for more targeted ideas
- Perspective — choose the lens through which ideas are generated (generalist, executive, practitioner, technical, or contrarian)
Click "Generate" and the AI returns structured ideas — each with four components:
Anatomy of an idea
Angle
The core argument or stance — a 1-2 sentence opinionated position that gives the post a clear direction.
Tension
The counterintuitive conflict or trade-off that makes the reader stop and think.
Anchor
A single sharp data point, statistic, or concrete observation that grounds the argument in reality.
Stakes
What changes if the reader adopts this perspective — the so-what that makes the idea worth sharing.
Each idea also includes a "Why it works" explanation — a brief rationale for why this angle would resonate on LinkedIn.
From idea to post
Each generated idea has a "Write post" button that takes you directly to the post generator with the idea pre-filled as the topic. The angle, tension, and anchor are passed as context so the AI produces a post that develops that specific idea.
Saving ideas
Click the bookmark icon on any idea card to save it for later. Saved ideas appear in your Inspirations hub under the "Ideas" tab. You can unsave with a single click and an undo toast gives you a few seconds to reverse the action.
Usage quota
Idea generation counts against your monthly ideas quota. Free plans get 5 generations per month (1 idea each). Start plans get 10 generations (2 ideas each). Grow plans and above have unlimited access. Your current usage is visible in the sidebar.
